Astrophysics Seminar |
The Astrophysics Seminar is held on Tuesdays or Wednesdays at 4:10 PM in the Walter Hall room 245 (unless otherwise indicated). Participants discuss a paper from the current astronomy literature or other reading. This time is also used for talks by visiting astronomers. Generally the reading follows a particular theme each quarter.
Astrophysics graduate students are expected to attend the seminar and enroll
in PHYS 879F for 1 credit hour.
Undergraduate students who want to take the seminar for credit should enroll in
PHYS 493 for 1 credit hour.
The Spring Quarter 2008 Seminar, organized by Professors Clowe and Prakash,
will cover a variety of topics in astronomy and nuclear physics.
Unlike the Fall and Winter seminars, the Spring seminar consists solely of talks from visiting scientists and will be held usually on tuesdays at 4:10 in Walter Hall room 245.
