The research program of BNNT focuses on three overlapping areas:
- Nanomaterials: the assembly and the collective properties of nano building blocks
- Nanosensors: design and fabricate sensing devices with nanomaterials
- Nanomedicine: integrated diagnostic and medicinal systems using nanosensors and nanomaterials
