Milky Way The galaxy in which the solar system is located, visible as a luminous band in the night sky.

radar A method of detecting distant objects and dterming their positionm velocity, or other characteristics by analysis of vrey high frequency radio waves reflected from their surfaces.

radio wave A radio-frequency electronmagnetic wave.

Sun A star that is the basis of the solar system and that sustains life on Earth, being the source of hear and light.

telescope An instrument for collecting and examining electromagnetic radiation, especially an arrangement of lenses or mirrors or both that gathers visible light, permitting direct observation or photographic recording of distant object.

universe All existing things, including the earth, the heavens, the glaxies, and all therein, regarded as a whole.
