Physics Professor Kenneth Hicks elected as Fellow of the American Physical Society


Kenneth H. Hicks, Professor in the department of Physics & Astronomy at Ohio University, was elected to Fellowship in the American Phsyical Society which is limtied to no more than one half of one percent of the membership of the APS. Election to APS Fellowship is recognition by your peers of your outstanding contributions to physics.

The citation will read as follows:

"For his recent leadership role in experiments which have opened the new field of exotic pentaquark baryon study and for his sustained contributions to nuclear physics."

Dr. Hicks name and Fellowship citation will be published in the March 2005 issue of APS NEWS. It will also appear on the Fellowship Page of the APS Home Page [December 2004]
