    Binay Prasai

    Binay Prasai was born in Kathmandu, the capital city of beautiful Nepal known for its scenic beauty. Nepal has eight out of ten tallest mountains all measuring more than 8000 meters. Binay grew up in Kathmandu where he completed his Bachelorís degree from Tri-Chandra College in 1997 and Masterís degree in Physics from Tribhuvan University in 2000. Binay joined the Ph.D. program in Physics at Ohio University in the fall of 2007.

    Binay is conducting research in experimental condensed matter physics specializing in surface science. His advisor is Prof. Arthur Smith. Besides physics Binay likes to play various sports like Tennis, Badminton, swimming and Bocce Ball. Binay was in the champion team of 2008 and was in the runner up team in 2009 in the Bocce Ball Tournament organized by the graduate students of the Department of Physics and Astronomy. Binay also likes biking and hiking. In Athens, he enjoys the bike path which is one of the best things he has explored here.
