Paul King is an experimental nuclear physicist. In his research, he
studies the properties and substructure of protons and neutrons by
using polarized, high-energy electron beams as a probe. The
experiments on which he works take place at the Thomas Jefferson
National Accelerator Facility in Newport News, Virginia. His recent
experiments have been directed toward measuring the contributions of
the ``strange'' quarks to the properties of the proton. His particular
area of specialization is in the development of data acquisition and data
analysis systems for high-precision electron scattering measurements.
He is deeply involved in the development of new data acquisition and data
analysis tools for the next generation of high-precision measurements
at the Jefferson Laboratory.
When not on campus, he enjoys walking on the lovely trails in the
area.
