Astrophysics Seminar

The Astrophysics Seminar is held on Wednesdays at 4:10 PM in the Edwards Accelerator Lab Finlay Conference Room. Participants discuss a paper from the current astronomy literature or other reading. This time is also used for talks by visiting astronomers. Generally the reading follows a particular theme each quarter.

Astrophysics graduate students are expected to attend the seminar and enroll in PHYS 8201 for 1 credit hour.
Undergraduate students who want to take the seminar for credit should enroll in PHYS 4942 for 1 credit hour.

The Spring Semester 2018 Seminar is organized by Prof. Shields, and will focus on Infrared Astronomy and the James Webb Space Telescope.
