Materials Research is one of the most exciting areas of science. At Ohio University, we have formed a special program reflecting the vitality of the area and of our Researchers.The CMSS program crosses department and even college lines, with Researchers from the College of Arts and Sciences (Physics, Chemistry, Geology), and the Russ College of Engineering and Technology (Electrical and Computer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering). CMSS is well supported by the state of Ohio, plus grants held by the individual investigators in the program. Currently, CMSS members hold grants from the NSF, DOE, ONR, AFOSR, BMDO, the Battelle Memorial Institute, and the Keck Foundation.
