My main research interest is in low-energy nuclear physics. Much of my PhD work has been focused on understanding the very important 12C(a,g)16O reaction in experiments at Ohio University and TRIUMF. At Oak Ridge National Laboratory my main task has been to design the VANDLE detector array. Recently my time has been dedicated to measuring the prompt neutron fission of 235U and 239Pu using the SCINTIA neutron detector array at the Institute fo Reference Materials and Measurements.
