I was born in Romania, a very beautiful country in the eastern part of Europe. It is so nice, having mountains and plains, hills and seashore... A great part of it is bordered by The Danube, one of the most important rivers of Europe,which flows into the Black Sea creating the extraordinary Delta Danube.

Home for civilization for many hundreds of years, my country remained in History like an independent country, proud of its Latin roots. Some of the most important events in our history can be found following this link:ROMANIA ! ROMANIA!

After I graduated the High School I went to pursue my studies at the Bucharest University, the biggest University in Romania, the most famous and the best, in my opinion.

        Since our Educational system is different from the one in USA, for example, I should mention that the University is the equivalent of the college, sometimes being the equivalent of a MS degree.

        Going to University, I decided to enroll in Physics, and after a hard exam, I was admitted there. 5 years of hard work followed this decision, but I should say that I don`t regret it.

  After graduating with a BA degree in Engineering Physics, I have worked for 2 years as a researcher at Institute of Microtechnology, Bucharest. After that I have been accepted as a doctoral student at University of North Texas, Physics Department, Denton, Texas. There I have met some wonderful people, some of them are still my friends and I hope this will last forever.

  Following the Texas experience, I moved to the Physics Department, Ohio University, in June 1997. Of course, I am missing the nice weather of Texas, but at the same time I am together with my fiancee and I have a wonderful life.

         Here in Athens, after receiving a Ms degree in physics for research I did under Dr. Gerald Harp`s guidance, I am now enrolled in the PhD program having  Dr. Martin Kordesch as my advisor. The work I am doing is very exciting and interesting and I hope I will have soon more to post on web then I do now.   Concerning my personal life, I have a wonderful family, my sister, Claudia is a unique peson (there are pictures for the ones curious how much we look alike!). My fiancee, Eugen is also a great guy... The two of them make my life to be more interesting and worth to be lived.
