I am a graduate student at the University of Arkansas in Little Rock  (UALR). My dissertation topic concerns women in Science and Technology careers. The purpose of my study is to develop a better understanding of the conditions that encourage the persistence of women in Science, Math, and
Engineering (SME) Careers. I am also a secondary science and math  teacher. The encouragement of women in the pursuit of SME careers is a  subject near and dear to my heart.
As a member of the community of science professionals, you and your colleagues are no doubt aware of the unique obstacles, and specific needs of women in the Sciences career pathway. For this reason, I am seeking the wisdom and insights of women who are currently members of SME professional
organizations for women. The design of my study calls for both survey responses from female SME professionals and follow-up telephone interviews with a portion of the survey respondents
I need a random list of 120 women to whom I can send surveys.
The chair of my doctoral committee is:
 Kathy K. Franklin, Ed.D.
