New! The first Ohio University Undergraduate Physics Research Conference will take place on Saturday, January 17, 2009. See the Research Page for info.

New! Anyone wishing to attend the Midwest Conference for Undergraduate Women in Physics should register online by January 10 and email the webmaster about  carpool information.

 Chapter meetings are held each Wednesday at noon in the Physics Common Room in Clippinger Hall.

Department Colloquia take place each Friday at 4:10 p.m. in Walter Hall 245.
About OU SPS

    The Ohio University Chapter of the Society of Physics Students conducts meetings every Wednesday at noon in the Common Room in Clippinger Hall during each academic quarter. Lunch is provided, and most meetings feature a guest speaker from the OU faculty or another institution.

    SPS members participate in departmental activities, community
outreach, university research, and travel through the school year and
summer break. Students may also be inducted to Sigma Pi Sigma
National Physics Honor Society.

    The Society of Physics Students welcomes students from all
physics-related departments and majors, including science education,
astronomy, engineering, and other sciences.
